Prayer Requests

Good morning,

Yesterday, we had our first appointment with the plastic surgeon since the surgery. It didn't take long for the 2 doctors to realize that there was a problem. The drainage tube in Kim's left side that wasn't draining should have been draining. It seems like the tube got a blood clot early on and became plugged. As a result, she had a tremendous amount of fluid in that side of her chest that has been lying dormant since day 1. After removing the drainage tube, the fluid poured out of the hole which is good news. The concerning part is whether or not they got enough of it out to prevent infection and whether her body will absorb any remaining. They are unable to use a needle to draw the fluid out because it could puncture the expander. We ask that you pray against infection and Kim's comfort. They bound her chest TIGHTLY to try and compress the fluid and prevent a himijimi (that's what it sounded like although I didn't quite catch the medical term). She is in much more pain as a result of the increased pressure!

This morning we are going to see Kim's surgeon for the first time. This is the meeting where we get the pathology reports on her sentinel lymph node biopsy and the tumors from her breast. Obviously we are anxious about the results so I would just ask that you pray for God's peace to be upon us.

I will update everyone later as time permits.

Have a great day and may the Lord continue to be gracious to all of us!

Stacy

  1. "Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens;..." Hebrews 7:25-26

So glad our Jesus is alive in Heaven right now, ministering to you and making intercession on your behalf...in the words of Dr. MacGee may we feed on the Living Bread today and walk in the light of His presence this day! We love you Kimmy....Jay, Nisey, Kenzie & Maddy
